Radius is live, local voice chat for people sharing the same space. No accounts. No profiles. No stored conversations. Just real-time voice, nearby.
Whether you're at an event, on a campus, walking downtown, or riding with a group, Radius helps you talk with the people around you — in the moment, without trading contacts first.
A lightweight voice layer for the world right around you.
Your voice reaches only people inside the radius you choose. As you move, the conversation changes with you.
Open the app, set your radius, and start talking in seconds. No onboarding, no feed, no friction.
No accounts. No public profiles. No stored conversations. What you say stays between the phones on the call.
Mute or block anyone instantly. You decide who gets your attention — and who doesn't.
Use Radius when text is too slow and calling a stranger feels too formal.
See who's nearby as your location updates — no profile to build, nothing to sign up for.
Keep it close or expand it depending on the moment — a lane, a block, a venue, a trail.
Start a direct call with one person, or broadcast to everyone nearby. Hold to speak, release to listen.
Radius works best when people share the same space and need fast, lightweight communication.
Radius is designed to keep the experience lightweight, private, and under your control from the start.
Built on standard, audited cryptography. No proprietary magic.
Every voice connection uses WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP — the same encrypted media stack browsers and iOS use for secure calls. Keys are negotiated directly between the two phones. Our servers hold no key material and see no audio.
Once two phones agree to talk, audio flows directly between them over a P2P WebRTC session. The signaling server only helps the phones find each other, then steps out of the way.
No accounts. No email. No phone number. Each session gets a throwaway peer ID that the server generates and discards when you disconnect. Nothing ties one session to the next.
Your phone shares a ~150m geohash cell with the server so nearby users can discover you. Precise GPS coordinates stay on-device and are used only to render the local map.
Calls are never recorded. Session state lives in server memory only and is wiped on disconnect. There is no database, no logs of what was said, nothing to leak later.
Strict origin allowlisting, per-IP connection caps, per-connection rate limits, server-issued peer IDs to prevent spoofing, and bounded message sizes. And again — no audio ever touches it.
